VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A payday loan franchise in Vancouver was robbed at gunpoint Monday evening and the suspect remained at large.
A lone female employee was closing the Quik Cash Payday Loans at 5210 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. just before 7:30 p.m. when a man walked in and brandished a handgun, according to Vancouver police.
The robber forced the employee into a rear office, where she was then forced to open the safe and remove cash, the employee told police.
Afterwards, the employee said she was struck in the head before the suspect fled.
Police are searching for a Hispanic male who may be in his early thirties.
The suspect was described as approximately 5’7” with a heavy build, possibly weighing 250 pounds.
